Ian Whan


Ian is an independent consultant with over 35 years experience in micro economic assessment based on expected outcomes.  He has a special interest in working with institutions and individuals wanting to test the impact of change and find optimal solutions.  His areas of focus are natural resources development and policy and public administration.  Recent projects include the review of Catchment Management Authority and Regional NRM Bodies management systems and capacity to bring about real improvements in resource conditions, economic impact assessment studies for resource development and utilisation, and regional development studies and associated impacts.   Ian holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics, Master of Economics, Master of Agricultural Science and Gradate Diploma of Management.
